The two top officials of German Leipzig-Halle airport Mr. Wolfgang Hesse, Managing Director and Hans Klein, who in the 70s worked as Lufthansa Manager in Moscow, visited on August 20-22, 2000 DEC`s Moscow office.

The both officials met with Mr. Alexander Cherkassov, Vice-President Double Eagle Consulting to discuss issues pertaining to mutually beneficial cooperation.

Leipzig-Halle airport, which has undergone DM 1.86 billion modernization over the last years, is a most modern airport in Germany. Under the visit program, the guests were taken to one of Moscow`s airports and met with the management of one Russian airline.

It is worthwhile noting that DEC`s VP Alexander Cherkassov worked as Manager for Aeroflot Soviet Airlines between 1983 and 1988 at Berlin -Shoenefeld airport in East Germany. Mr. Cherkassov is well familiar with Germany, speaks fluent German and has many ties with German aviation community.
