Case description: While performing a takeoff from a swampy site the crew allowed the drop in the main rotor’s rotational speed up to 82%. 45 –50 seconds after the takeoff at the altitude of 2 –3 m above the ground, the helicopter’s blades clashed with the trees and the ground, the helicopter turned by 180 degrees against the course and plunged into the swampy ground.

Helicopter’s damage level: The helicopter was badly damaged.

Interstate Aviation Committee started its investigation.
