DEC, Shell Aircraft Ltd Meet in CIAM

The meeting of specialists representing Shell Aircraft Limited, Central Scientific Research Institute of Aviation Engine Constructing (CSRIAEC) and Double Eagle Consulting company (DEC) was held on January 23, 2001 in Moscow, R. F. to familirize with the latest achievements of CSRIAEC in development of advanced HUMS system for helicopters. The system provides diagnostic and monitoring of gearboxes and kinematics transmission elements of helicopters, using both vibrometer and kinemeter principles. The system prototype was demonstrated in operation on the mechanical test bench in the Institute.

Pursuant to the agreement between DEC and CSRIAEC, DEC promotes the system in the helicopter flight services market. Monitoring and diagnostic of the main helicopter mechanisms with this system will allow increasing the helicopter operational safety.

The parties expressed their satisfaction with capabilities of the system and their mutual interest in the soonest implementation of this development.
